Viola is shipwrecked in Illyria and, believing her twin brother Sebastian to be dead, disguises herself as a man to serve Duke Orsino, who she falls for. Orsino pines for Countess Olivia, who falls for the disguised Viola instead, creating a tangled love triangle. Meanwhile, Olivia’s pompous steward, Malvolio, is led to believe that Olivia loves him. Chaos ensues – especially when Sebastian, alive and well, arrives in Illyria.
